Worldwide Sisters & Wild Roxy

Hey!

I'm so sorry that it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post!

We are still waiting for our actual text books to arrive but we are reading our additional study books. It's going well and the kids are fine too!

This past weekend has been so fantastic! The Lord really made a way for my friends, Renate and Katya, to visit us! Remember, I've mentioned them in some of my previous posts?! Renate is currently in her 3rd year of studies at Cedar College at the KwaSizabantu Mission in Kranskop. She's studying to be a teacher, I think I've mentioned it sometime in April last year. They are like my sisters! I don't have any real sisters so, having them here to spend time with and to guide and strengthen my family and I is just amazing! Katya recently brought some delicious things for us! Renate brought some things too. We also had 2 visitors from the Russian satellite mission!

The kids weren't too happy because the attention was not on them but they are quite used to Renate since she's stayed over at our house before. Curly really likes Katya! She was acting all cute and insisting on petting! Blitzy just slept on Renate's suitcase! Joshy is so laid back, he just doesn't care who comes!

I'm so glad that I have a sister from Germany and a sister from Russia! How often can a person say that? I'm so grateful!

Guess what?! Little Roxy might have puppies!!! She's just over a year old and still has a wild personality so, I wonder what kind of mother she'd be? I've already mentioned their owners before, we call them Oom Peet & Tannie Andra (meaning Uncle Peet & Aunty Andra in Afrikaans) They're the head of this satellite mission of KSB and Oom Peet is also the pastor of the Claridge branch of the church and he lectures at Cedar College. Anyway, they're going to be in America in April which is Roxy's due date....and that means that I'm going to have to take care of the puppies! Oh my! What a task! I'm so excited though! I've never done something like this before! When we got Blitzy, she was already about a month old but these puppies will be newborns!

Anyway....

Goodnight and God bless!

Visitors & a Very Hot Day!

Good evening, dear friends :)

Today was such a lovely day!! Wow! The mission had some visitors, about 40 or so. My friend, Katya, also came, she is from Russia but is staying and working at KwaSizabantu Main Mission in Kranskop. She told me that the visitors are from Russia, Holland, Switzerland and many more countries! It was so amazing to have them here!

Everyone pitched in to help and it was very blessed! I am trying to learn some Russian and I'm going to learn German too. We went on a walk and they really enjoyed everything. Lunch was prepared and there was also a universal favourite......ICE-CREAM!!!! We had Jaboticaba (Brazilian Grape) jam over it. There was also Milk Tart, chocolate cake and blueberry pie. To drink, there was KwaSizabantu's famous flavoured water, aQuelle and also Bonle juice. Both are made and bottled at the main mission in Kranskop. Bonle also produces milk and yoghurt. I don't mean to brag or boast but it is all delicious!

It was a scorching hot day but everyone enjoyed the day anyway!

Our kids were at home, lounging around in the heat.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it!

God bless!

Cute Charcoal & Curly Got Hurt

Good evening!

Claridge is so beautiful! The flowers are still blooming and everything looks joyful!!

Oh, how grateful am I that we live in such a gorgeous place! We are really blessed!

Little Charcoal has been visiting us a lot lately. He is almost always around after a storm, he hides in our roof. I still don't know whether he is a wild cat or if he has an owner. One thing I do know is that he is so beautiful (well, handsome) and he is SO sweet! We just know when he is at the window because he has such a unique meow. Sometimes, we'd leave the door open but the gate would be closed, it has a screen door and he would meow at the door! We've been treating him with milk. He even knows his name! We call him on his nickname, "Coal" and he responds with a loud meow and he rushes up! He's very affectionate!

Anyway, our kids are fine. Curly had a bath and a haircut recently. She is as white as snow now! Shame, at some point, she hurt her head. We're not sure what happened but there's a wound there. It's not bleeding but there is a scab.We cut down the fur on her head and sort of treated it.She doesn't seem to be in any pain but she does pull her head away when anyone starts fiddling with it. Otherwise, she's as fit as a fiddle!

Joshy's ear has completely healed and is looking very good! Nothing new happened with little Blitzy, she's as naughty as ever but still very sweet! ;)

Thanks for reading and for all the pageviews!

God bless,
