A Birthday to Remember....... :)

Greetings from Claridge!

This has been an eventful time for us!
It was my birthday on Friday (the 27th), and my family decided to have a get-together on the deck to celebrate it, it was supposed to be a surprise but since it was all happening at our house, they had to let me know. ;)
I received so many lovely gifts from my family!! I felt so blessed!
My Mom is doing well and even baked a cake together with my brother, the end result was so beautiful. I was amazed.....
We had yellow rose cupcakes, exquisite cookies, French palmiers and a delicious dinner, of course! Everyone at Claridge attended, it's so nice to have the whole Claridge "family" together.

On Sunday, Nthokozo Nhlabathi took the sermon, he is from the main mission. It's always nice when he comes because he brings his lovely family along too. His wife is Snikiwe and they have 3 little boys, Enoch, Timothy and Lizwi.

Yesterday, we went to the Royal Agricultural Show! We chose to go on a weekday because it's not too busy then. It was so enjoyable, unfortunately I didn't get a prize for my cross-stitched picture but it was still exhibited and for that, I am thankful. I did get 1st prize 2 years ago though. :)
We strolled through the halls......sometimes leisurely and then sometimes quickly to escape the fast-talking salespeople that are trying to get you to buy something that you don't really need! Although, we did end up buying a lot of "necessary" stuff. We couldn't stay too long because my Mom had to rest.
All in all, we enjoyed the time very much! I think I've explained in detail what the show offers in a previous post a few years ago.

Anyway,
God bless,
Sele'ha Mikhaila ♡

Here are some photo's for you to enjoy!

Blitzy was sitting on Joshy's tail and playing with it! He hissed at her for that!!

Blitzy snuggled up in my cupboard...?

All the gifts from my family! My Dad even did a portrait of me!

The tables laid for my birthday celebration.

The sweet treats!

This beautiful cake! It's chocolate on the inside, topped with a buttercream frosting!! Yum!!! My Mom did a rose swirl cake.

Delicious?!

The lovely roses...♡

My Dad bought a new water filtration vacuum cleaner and tried it out the other day. Although, he cornered Curly with it and so she had "no choice" but to jump onto the trampoline....to be out of the way!

Here is my finished cross-stitched picture! It's Joshy and Blitzy. I'll upload a better photo as soon as I get it back.

Some colourful Indian clothing for sale.

Cows!! The brown one really was loud...

This mother and calf are adorable!

I just love ducks. ♡

Some chickens had such unusual feathers.

This one looks like it touched an electric cable!

He really carried himself like he was royalty.

Woah! Look at that hairstyle!

Beautiful in white.

She looks as if her wing feathers have been artificially curled!

Renate sent me SO many gifts! She is too sweet.

This is from Makhosi, as you can see, we have already opened it! Simply delicious!!

This is from Ree and Sne's parents! I received a lot of sweet things....I'm definitely not complaining though!

A Funeral & a Few Operations

Hello!

Wow, life has been busy since my last post!

Well, firstly, my Mom went for 2 major operations in one. It's been about a week now and by God's grace, Mom is recovering. The pain is still there but it's not as intense as before, each day is better.
So, my Dad, brother and I have been alternating mealtimes, each one trying to cook a decent meal! Hahaha.....it's been good though. ;) I do need the practice!

On another note, Uncle John Powys passed away last week. He was the head of Schulzendal Mission in Malelane. He had been a co-worker of Kwasizabantu for over 30 years! We will all miss him but we know that the Lord knows best and that it was his time to go. You can read a bit about him here :

We attended his funeral at the main mission last Sunday, it was a special service. Here is the link to his funeral service :

I pray that you will be as blessed as I was having listened to this sermon.

God bless,
Sele'ha Mikhaila ♡

Joshy sitting on the deck outside, he went out just to peep inside again!! Blitzy adores him.

Blitzy opened this cupboard herself and went to explore a bit! Curious much?!

Joshy again :)

Finally Finished & the Flu...

Hey there!

Well, it's time for another blog post.....what has changed since the last post? Hmmmm.....

Well, I have finally finished my cross-stitched picture! We stretched and framed it then dropped it off at the entry office for the Royal Agricultural Show. I'm so glad that it's over, it took over a month or so! I didn't take a photo of the finished product.
Though, I'll take a photo of it at the show and also when I get it back after the show is over.
Last week, I had a cough due to some phlegm that had built up in my chest, my Mom had it too. Thankfully, that's basically over! Although, my Dad had the flu and then passed it onto my Mom and yesterday, I seemed to have gotten it too...... :( I'm sure I'll be fine soon!

Oom Peet and Tannie Andra are in Canada at the moment, they're visiting Chris and Geralda. Then, they'll fly to the US in a couple days.
Lassie really misses them, she camps out at our house for most of the day!

Sorry for the short post!

God bless,
Sele'ha Mikhaila ♡ ♡

My Mom gave Curly some custard and she messed her mouth!

Joshy :)

Lassie found a bottle to play with.

Curly came to greet her

There was a short storm, Curly was afraid and tried to squeeze into this spot but got stuck! We helped her out after taking a photo. ;)

Blitzy was enjoying the sun behind the blinds.

They're both doing the same pose! Sleeping alike!

My Mom & I made a Granadilla Cheesecake

It was delicious!!!!

Joshy came into my room and inspected all of Blitzy's stuff.

Deadlines & A Disobedient Doggie

Hello.... :)

It's been almost 2 weeks since my last post, sorry about that!

Claridge has been reeeeeeally cold lately.
My Dad, Oom Peet and Baba Sihle went to Malelane for the Ministers Conference at Schulzendal Mission. It was a 3 day conference and I hear that it was a real blessing!
It was hot there apparently which is hard to believe because of Claridge's weather. Although, I think some warmer days will come along before Winter really kicks in.

May is the last month of Autumn for us in SA and then Winter starts but Claridge is still quite green. The Royal Show is coming up soon and so is my deadline for my cross-stitching project! It has to be submitted by May 12th and I'm not done....yet!
Oom Peet and Tannie Andra are preparing for their next trip, first they are flying to Canada on Sunday where they'll visit Chris and Geralda for about a week and then they'll go to America. They're going for 5 weeks in total, that's the longest time they've been away from Claridge!

Curly really has been stubborn with her food lately, she doesn't want to eat! She skips breakfast quite often now.....and she isn't sick or anything because she happily accepts any treat that my Mom offers her, naughty little dog...hehe.....

Anyway, I'll end off now,
God bless,
Sele'ha Mikhaila ♡

Blitzy's unusual sleeping position

A cute little chocolate cake I baked, it didn't last long!

There are some trees that have changed colour

Here is Michael, my Avo tree ;)

The sky is so beautifully blue!

Another odd pose

I didn't realise that she has quite a long neck.
