A Cold Christmas :)

Merry Christmas!!!

Okay, it's the day after Christmas but I didn't get a chance to post anything yesterday.

We had a blessed day! My grandparents are with us. There was no service here in Claridge because only a few people actually attend it at this time. So, we turned the radio on and listened to the service from the main mission, Uncle Erlo Stegen took the sermon of course.
The main mission is now streaming their services live which is great! We haven't watched any services via streaming just yet but we will do that soon. If you would like to watch some of the videos of previous sermons or get connected to tune into upcoming services, you can click on this link : http://livestream.com/accounts/10578297

Christmas falls in Summer for us here in South Africa but yesterday and today, it was actually cold! Really strange weather for this time of year!
Oh! I've noticed that my blog has received over 3 000 views! Wow! Thank you to everyone who viewed it, it's much appreciated! It's always nice to see that I have views from all around the world....from America and Australia to Poland and Russia......

Anyway, here are some photo's.....

God bless,
Sele'ha Mikhaila ♡♡

The food table...Mmmmm...

My Mom's famous trifle for dessert!

See the layers?

We have reaped dragonfruit early this year! My Dad added the apple. ;)

Blitzy found a nice chair to sleep on.

Joshy earlier on this week.

Curly is very well-behaved, she never begs for food when we're at the table.

Dad Builds a Deck

Hi!

Now.....for the moment you've all been waiting for........the finished photo's of the deck that my Dad built for us!
We didn't want the railing to block the view from our bedroom windows so, my Dad didn't put planks across the middle. The deck is around the side of our house, along my parents' bedroom and my bedroom. It's joined to the walls of our bedrooms and my parents' intend to transform their window into a sliding-door!
This week, my Dad also built 2 lovely dining tables with benches. We are so thankful that my Dad could make it.
The Lord is so good, we are blessed to have this deck!

God bless you all this festive season,
Sele'ha Mikhaila ♡

The beautiful cobblestone pathway.

My Dad had never built a staircase before but I think it looks very professional!

The outdoor dining-set

This one was just stained this morning.

A corner of the deck.

The tables from a different angle.

The deck is huge!

Here it is from a distance.

It's connected to half our house.

This is where you enter and then walk around our house.

Deck in Progress

Hello!

I greet you from a wet and misty Claridge! We are thankful for every drop of rain though!

I can happily say that the deck is finally finished! Completely! Now, I must still take some final photo's of it tomorrow but.....here is a sneak preview of it. This is the "behind-the-scenes" part. ;)

First, the holes for the poles had to be "drilled".

Looks just like a mole made them!

In go the poles....

We bought the timber a while back. The courtyard wasn't tiled yet here.

My Dad is very skilled and there's a lot of precision involved in building a deck.

The supporting beams/planks.

Curly, the little furry helper.

Straight and neat.

The first planks go in.

Aren't they beautiful?

More planks are on, Joshy is already enjoying it here.

Timber galore!

Soon, it had to be joined to the house, of course the wall got a bit dirty...

It goes right around the side of our house.

Eventually, my Dad began with the cobblestone path.

My Dad also built the staircase, Joshy inspected it.

And then Curly...

They tried it out before the railing was built.

Joshy again.

Photo's ;)

Just a few photo's!

It was quite hot this  week, as you can see, they are just lazing around!

How can she sleep like that?

Curly on her chair.

Blitzy on top of the kitchen cupboards!

Fresh tomatoes from the garden!

A slice of my Mom's healthy seed bread.

How cute...?

Hmmm....it would be nice to reach 3000 views before 2016 rolls in, can we do it?!
Stay tuned for my next post, the deck photo's will be up!

God bless,
Sele'ha Mikhaila
