Visitors, Vacation and Very Happy Kids!!

Hello!!!

It has been a while..........and I am so sorry for the long wait! These few weeks have been            so busy! After the wedding, it was just one thing after another.
As I had mentioned in the last post, Katya was here for a week or so, then, Jessica Celick came to Claridge! Yes, her parents went to the main mission and she came here together with her oldest brother Alex and his wife, Olga. Alex and stayed for a day or two and then they flew to Cape Town. Then, Jessica's cousins and the family came for a few days. Oom Peet showed them the main mission and the other mission in Maqhogo (spelling?).
We had a braai at our house for them, Jessica's cousins are Emily and Abigail and their parents are Uncle Sergei and Aunty Ella, the grandparents came to. They're also from America but Uncle Sergei Selyukov and the family moved to South Africa over a year ago, I think. They live at the Schulzendal Mission in Malelane, you can check out the website, just click on the Malelane link on the side of my blog.
Max and his other brother, Art, also came for the braai and Oom Peet and Tannie Andra, Makhosi and 2 and a half year old Grace, it was SO nice to have a full house! They all also came for breakfast the next morning, everyone enjoyed the food and the company so much!! They left that day after breakfast.

Then, about a week or so later, one of the students at the college (he's from the Netherlands) came to visit with his parents, they stayed over for one night though. His name is Jeffrim and his parents came to visit South Africa, they will leave sometime in February. They had breakfast at our house too, also of course, Tannie Andra and Oom Peet.
On the 24th, we went on vacation to Sodwana Bay, it was beautiful! The weather was hot but we went to the beach and also, we rode quad bikes! That was the best part! We had a short run-down on safety and the controls of the quad bike and then we went on the tour. Each of us rode our own 4 wheeler!! Our vacation was 1 week, we came home on the 31st.

We picked the kids up from the cattery, we got Joshy his very own carrier! Curly was ecstatic to see us, she could hardly contain herself! Even Joshy was excited, little Blitzy was squealing! We brought them home and Joshy has been going in and out, meowing every few minutes! Just like he did when we came back from our holiday at Mtunzini!

I won't put any photo's up just yet.....

I just noticed....I got over 2 000 page views!  I reached my goal! Thank you all so much!!

God bless,

A Beautiful Walk :)

Hey,

Katya came here the other day, she will be in Claridge for a few days!! Yesterday Katya, Sammy and I went on a lovely walk, although the road was quite muddy due to the rain. Poor Curly got her paws all dirty! Yes, she was also with us. Here are some photo's of the dam on the farm. Curly also met the new pups!

God bless,

Goldfields, Growing Pups and a Great Weekend!

Hello everyone!!

Once again, I apologise for the long wait...I do have a valid excuse though!

On the 3rd of January was a wedding in Virginia. It was the wedding of Sam Celick and Marike Bruwer. Sam is the brother of Max (the tiler).
We left on Friday morning and it was a 6 hour drive to Virginia! Although, it didn't really feel long! That mission is called Goldfields. If you would like to see it or read about it, please click on the link of this mission on the side of my blog.

Anyway, it was so hot there! It was lovely to be there despite all the mosquito's! That first night, the mosquito's had a feast with us! The next day after the wedding, we bought some mosquito repellant. Then, it was payback time!! The second night was pure bliss, no little buzzing noise in my ears and no bites!!!! Yay!!!!

Oh, I got to meet Jessica Celick, she is the youngest sister. There are 8 children and 5 stay here in South Africa currently and 3 stay in America. I hadn't met Jessica or her parents in person before. We were just email friends and we would send things for each other through Oom Peet when he would go to preach. It was so nice because the whole family were in SA for Sam's wedding!
The wedding was so beautiful! Caleb and I were waiters and it was a nice experience!

We stayed for the Sunday service and we ate lunch, then we hit the road and headed for Claridge!!

The next day, we went to fetch Blitzy and Curly from the cattery/kennels. I mentioned that we would put them there in my other post. We walked passed some of the cages and we saw little Curly there! First, I just thought, "Wow, that dog looks just like Curly!" and when I looked closely, it WAS her!!! She was overjoyed! Even Blitzy was excited! We brought them back amd they settled in quickly by God's grace.

The other day, I went to see Kenzo and the 2 pups, Roxy and Mitsie. They are gone SO big!!! I was so amazed!! There are many photo's from Virginia but I didn't upload them yet.

Enjoy these photo's though!

God bless,
Sele'ha Mikhaila

Kenzo, Mitsie and Roxy!

Blitzy went right back to sleeping near to her brother!
Look at Joshy in the next photo, he is asleep on the unfinished deck!

More Christmas Photo's :)

Here are the photo's of the gifts that my parents' colleagues gave. Renate and Katya also sent us beautiful gifts, it is on the table too. Although, Katya made some biscuits for us and sadly, they were eaten up before I could take any photo's! I also uploaded a photo of the centrepiece that I decorated.

I just noticed, there are over 1 900 page views for this blog! Wow!! Thank you!

God bless,

A Very Merry Christmas!!!!

Okay, I know it's the day after Christmas but......Merry Christmas!!

It was SO hot yesterday though! Normally, we don't have a Christmas service here in Claridge because most of the people go to the main mission for the service there but this year, the people requested a service. It was so blessed! There was tea and cake afterwards....yum! It was all so nice :)

A few days ago, my Dad put some shelves up in my room and also in Caleb's room. Blitzy has been on those shelves all the time!!! She just comes down for some food or to go on her walks and then she goes right back up again! She loves to be up in high places!

A week ago, the tiler came to tile our courtyard floor, he is a Russian American named Max Celick. It looks so nice and neat now!

My grandparents are here for the festive season, they love it in Claridge :)

We had such a lovely lunch yesterday, it was a late lunch actually. There was turkey, gammon, mutton roast, macaroni and cheese, vegetables and more!! For dessert, my Mum made trifle...yummyyyy
As usual, we were all SO full!

My Dad bought some sand for Sam the other day and he cleaned the whole tank out and put the sand in instead of gravel. Surprisingly,  Sam adjusted well! The last time, she refused to eat for days after we cleaned the tank. This time, she just carried on as normal, she enjoys the sand too. We just noticed how much she has grown too!!

We are going to a wedding in Virginia in a week and then, Blitzy and Curly will be put in the cattery/kennels. I don't think we should put Joshy there, he takes it the worst. The girls are fine. Since we have Sam, my grandparents and my Mum's aunt will house-sit for us and care for Sam. So, Joshy might be at home with them. We would've left all the kids at home but it might be hard to control so many animals! Anyway, we'll see :)

Please enjoy all the lovely photo's that I took :) They're very clear because I used the iPad.

God bless you and may you have a blessed festive time,
Sele'ha Mikhaila

Christmas Kitty's New Spot!!

Hey everyone!

Long time no see...well, "post"!

Sorry for the long wait but it has been busy lately! My Dad has had his hands full with the deck and it is looking lovely! We would've liked to have had it done before Christmas but apparently, we can only get the rest of the timber next year! We will just have to be patient, I guess!

I haven't been to see Roxy and Mitsie (the new pups) in ages, so I don't have any photo's of them for you. My brother and I have been quite busy with our studies! Oom Peet brought some of our books with him from America. There were still assignments that had to be done. While everyone else was on holiday, we had to study.... :(
But......it's worth it in the end!

The kids are doing fine :) Curly had a lovely haircut and a bath and is nice and white again now!

Blitzy found a new sleeping spot! I have a drawer in my room on the desk and I used to have her basket on top of it. She just refuses to sleep on her basket so I decided to take the basket off and I left it on my guest bed. That was the best thing for little Blitzy! She now enjoys just sleeping on top of the drawer! My Mum put a nice, soft towel there for her and she loves it! For 6 days straight, she has been sleeping there! She hasn't even bothered to go out although we did take her out the other day. She just comes down to do her "business" and she goes right back up again!! How independent!

Oh! We set the Christmas tree up and it looks so beautiful but I won't put any photo's of it up just yet......Blitzy only woke up to "help" set the tree up and then she rushed of back to her new sleeping spot!

Sam's tank is due for it's cleaning! We're supposed to clean it every 3 months and it has been 3 months since her last one! We are going to buy her some fine sand to replace the small gravel. I read up that turtles sometimes eat the gravel and they can die from the congestion, gravel also holds the dirt and ammonia which causes the tank to smell horrible! So, for the betterment of both Sam and us, we will get her some lovely sand!!! Maybe a beach umbrella might not be so bad.....hehehe

The Christmas spirit is in the air! We just went to some shops on Saturday and everything was decorated for Christmas! It definitely is my favourite time of year!
My parents already received SO many gifts from their work colleagues. They sent biscuits, mince pies, LOTS of chocolates and a beautiful vase too! We are so blessed. The Lord is amazing and He is so good to us! We are very thankful. :)

Anyway, I think this post was long enough, I must go now!

God bless!
